Some Cool Toys

At work and at home I get a catalog for a place called Cyberguys.com. They have a lot of cool stuff. The last catalog I got has some exceptionally cool stuff I'd like to share.

Have you ever seen on Facebook or MySpace a profile picture of someone where they held their digital camera at arm's length of themselves? Well here is the solution for these people:
Quikpod Pro Plus Extendable Handheld Monopod

Have you ever wanted to speak your mind to someone while driving? Well now you can with the Roadmaster RRDS100 Rear Deck Scrolling Digital LED Message System

Might want to restrain yourself on this one. It also notes on the page that it may not be legal in some states.

Possibly the coolest tech toy made thus far!
iTech BTVKB Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard

That's right, this is a bluetooth keyboard (so it can be used with a Blackberry or PDA) that is projected by a laser onto any surface. You just type on the image of the keyboard and it detects your key presses. Couple this with the 3M MPro110 microprojector and you won't need to carry a laptop anymore.

Roadmaster VRBT400 Hands Free Bluetooth Rear View Mirror

This is basically a bluetooth speakerphone that fits over your existing rear view mirror. Note in the picture that it has a display on it that shows the caller ID.

IronKey D20402 Secure Flash Drive 4GB
"Military grade" usb flash drive that "self destructs" if the incorrect password is entered more than 10 times.

Mark Feldstein VL8C Gadget Charging Valet

This is just a nice looking box you can set on your nightstand to hold any PDA or cell phone and neatly hide away the charger transformer and cords. Comes in Cherry wood or Satin Black

Sensor Guard Telespy Intrusion Detector White
I'm not going to include a photo of this one because it's just a simple telephone. But it also has a motion sensor on it that will call whatever number you have programmed into it so that you can listen in on what's going on in the room.

Coolit USB Beverage Chiller

Now I don't know how this works and I'm a bit skeptical, but it's supposed to be able to cool your drinks and it is powered by your computer's USB port.

Venus V-OIBA-B Scrolling LED Name Badge Blue LEDs

This one reminds me of that Progressive Insurance commercial where that lady says "that's the price of a new pair of shoes!" and the other one says "or a big tricked-out name tag." I've seen these in stores, but I thought I would include it here anyway.

Art. Lebedev Studio 213 Optimus Mini Three V 2.0 Black

This is definately a toy and not hugely useful but it is a keypad of sorts that you can program the image on the keys. The company that makes this also makes an entire keyboard of programmable keys, for only ~$1600!
